My work is built on the principle of duality and contradictions - I don’t choose between poles, but exist in constant movement between them. This is metamodernist logic: oscillation between control and chaos, between structure and chance, between clarity and open interpretation. I build a system, but allow it to break down if that opens new possibilities.
The space of my practice is defined by three factors, each with two opposing poles.
Perception: my past as a graffiti artist demands that works instantly catch the eye—but simultaneously I embed multiple layers of meaning that reveal themselves only through sustained engagement. Method: a balance between control and observation, between what I set and what emerges on its own. Communication: I create not to display, but to dialogue—viewer and artist are equal participants in the decoding and play of meanings.
I construct a work as a system of sequential reading, where what matters is what the viewer notices first, what slips away, what draws them back. It’s precisely in this moment of participation, when the viewer adds their own to what I’ve embedded, that something worthwhile emerges.
